This is Peyton Rae. She is three months now and has won my heart. She is such an easy baby to take photos of it was like cheating. She just gazed around smiling, blowing bubbles and speaking that most loveable baby language, gibberish. I had lots of fun meeting her and taking her pictures. I just can't wait so see her grow and take more pictures of her! All the pink makes me happy too!!

Joy
I'm reading a new book, And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. He wrote Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. The latter is in my top five favorite books. Ever. If you haven't read it, be prepared to shed some tears.
About 35 pages into the the new book, this quote caught my heart. "He used to wonder how such a frail little body could house so much joy, so much goodness. It couldn't. It spilled out of her, came pouring out her eyes."
I keep going back to this. Oh how I wish as we grow up all of us could retain this childlike joy. Life can bring you down, but when there's this joy inside, all those grown up worries don't have as much power. We can walk through this life happier. And I think happiness can be contagious. It "spills" out of you.

Dear Hailey,
You don't have to grow up so fast!
I don't see my niece for a few days and she changes. Her expressions, her giggle, her dimple. It's going too fast. Stay little a little longer Hailey. ♥

To Cry or Not to Cry
That was the question.
This strange person coming at her with that weird black thing attached to her face that makes lots of noise and bright lights.
It was touch and go. Through it all, she is gorgeous!
I can't get enough of those deep clear eyes and rosebud lips.
Such a beautiful girl to photograph.

A Few More of Baby Serenity
The simplest of moments can be the most beautiful.
Love these glimpses of these brand new sisters, teeny toes and blissful baby sleep.
I wish I could have a peek of what she's dreaming about.
